A big question that this movie is asking is...How we supposed to feel about a funny guy dying?
Forever someone has giving smiles and laughter to the world then suddenly it stops. Death is usually not a funny thing but it is amazing how Judd Apatow has come up with a movie that ties comedy with death. Funny people has given the viewer a full range of emotions to work with. George Simmons (Adam Sandler) really wants to make the world laugh and not cry which is why he felt to keep his terminal disease a secret. Not only does he want to continue to keep people laughing he takes a young comedian under his wing to help him with his jokes as well as being somewhat a mentor, even though he wont admit it.

With all movies there has to be a woman, especially when it is of a character depicted by Adam sandler. This role is given to Leslie Mann as Laura, the girl George lost by making the stupid mistake of cheating on her, she is the one that got away to him. Laura, now is in a shitty mariage to a "happy ending" loving Aussie (Eric Bana, really pulling his comic weight) and finds solace in what any cheated on mother would, her children. Played by non other than Iris and Maude Apatow. when Laura learns of George's illness, she is pu through an emotional rollercoaster that really gets the audience involved and hoping for love to be found for this terminal character.

Judd did an amaziong job with the writing being so witty and funny while also create some darkness in the story. With so many great turns in the story we can't help to be attached. The whole cast really came together to give us a great story. I would definitely recommend seeing this movie. I know some have been put off but they need to understand that this isn't the traditional "piss your pants laughing" Apatow movie. He has changed the game up a bit and added a little more substance. Hopefully many of you can appreciate that!
