Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince: Darker, Dramatic, and Dangerously Good!

YOU CAN JUST SENSE THE ROMANCE. This movie was really a leap from the last and in a whole other dimension than the first 4. I found that to make a great movie about betrayal you definitely need Alan Rickman. That man either is a cold harded bastard in real life or just really depressed. I don't know how he can be so serious. He definitely did a great job.

One big aspect that I really enjoyed was the effects. It was amazing...I thought the Voldemort vs Dumbledore dual in the 5th movie was good. This whole movie was full of great effects especially when they were trying to retrive the special item from Voldemort's cavern. It seems really amazing what they can do now.

Another interesting thing was that they have these seats that they were testing in the theatre I was in to go along with the movie. I did not have the pleasure of experiencing them but they seemed to give a whole new feel to the movie. I asked one of the movie goers who was in the special section with those seats and she said that it made the movie much more livelier. She said she has never been so scared during those sudden scary moments that are meant to bring on a scream.

Anyway back to the movie...Love was in the air! Now with them into the teenager phase with raging hormones, this film really dealt with the boy-girl relationships, with love triangles that include Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, and a squeaky girl named Lavender Brown, or a developing relationship between Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley (Ron's Sister). With all the jealousy, love, flirting, sabotaging, and betrayal, the movie was far from uninteresting. I can't say that there was a point in that movie where I was wondering how long there was left. I was attached to the story the whole time.

One thing I didn't enjoy is that they left quite a few unanswered questions, which personally bother me because of the personal need to know everything but by leaving so many unanswered questions a lot of people feel like they get cheated from teh movie. We know there is going to be a sequel but there was no need to have such vague bits of information come up now and again. Let me tell you if they left out who the Half Blood Prince was in the movie I would be extremely pissed off.

I would definitely recommend this movie. Other than the obvious cliffhanger that keeps you addicted to the magical story like crack cocaine, I would say that its definitely worth the 10-12 dollars for teh ticket!
